Years is a series of four para-fiction short stories that are inspired by real-life stories and people working in the gold market. The stories are set in the context of addressing the politics and economics that impact the lives of ordinary people. The economy of gold is abstract as the price of gold is affected by multiple factors and one of them is oil and the global politics behind it. Through these short stories, these factors are on the backseat as they navigate the lives of ordinary people who experience both suffering and enjoyment derived from the metal gold. Till now I have covered stories from The State of Emergency, 2002 Riots, Demonetization, and Covid-19. Next up, I would like to collect stories from the income tax officers, temples, mining regions, and people who own quirky gold-plated things like cars.
